2012 Viognier Sold Out
This vintage is marvelous. It's exotic with floral and fruit coctail aromatics. It's difficult to nail down just one fruit in this
wine. We smell peach, tangerine, apple and pear. And then there is a spicy quality too…like curry and coriander. In the
mouth the wine is complex as the spice is perceived again and the flavors linger in your mouth as you swallow.
2012 Roussanne $20.00
This wine is very floral with further aromas of apricots and lemons and just a bit of nuttiness. It's a very refreshing wine
with notable body and finesse.
2012 Patriarche Blanc $25.00
A pretty smelling wine of spring blossoms and lots of fruit like pear and melon rounded out with creamy orangesicle. In
the mouth the wine has balanced crisp acidity.
2012 Grenache Blanc $22.00
Floral aromatics with lovely mandarin orange and lemon/lime are highlighted with a bit of anise. The wine is quite light in the
mouth…yes, this is your Grandmother's white wine.
2012 El Dorado Grenache Rosé Sold Out
Cherries, strawberries, spring blossoms and citrus rind round out the aromas in this pretty colored Rosé. In the mouth
you may be pleasantly surprised at how deep the wine is with balanced acidity and a very long finish.
2011 El Dorado Grenache Noir $22.00
A pretty wine with earthy strawberry and cherry fruit. Floral qualities and a certain sweetart aroma finds a big finish from
such an otherwise light wine.
2012 El Dorado Counoise $22.00
This vintage is light and pretty with strawberry fruit and aromatics of roses and a hint of oregano. In the mouth the wine
is luscious, smooth and mouth filling.
2010 El Dorado Petit Patriarche $20.00
(83% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 3% Syrah)
In the nose, bright fruit - blackberries, cherries, strawberries and fig - greet you. Fresh herbs and earthy undertones follow with nice cherry rounding out the mouth.
2010 El Dorado Mourvedre Classique $20.00
This wine shows pretty aromatics of cherries, and to a lesser degree strawberries, with floral highlights of roses and
lavender. Don't get me wrong. There is a trace of earthiness (Mourvedre's hallmark) that tells you that this is indeed the
real thing. In the mouth you'll taste berries and experience a very long finish with nice acidity and medium tannins.
2011 El Dorado Mourvedre Estate Sold Out
Ripe cherry and boysenberry fruit along with exotic turmeric and black pepper spice. Aromas of earthy pine forest remind
you that this is Mourvedre (earth is Mourvedre's hallmark characteristic). In the mouth the wine has easy tannins and nice acidity.
2011 El Dorado Mourvedre-Syrah Sold Out
A beautiful color fills your glass full of blueberry fruit, earthy truffles, thyme, pine and floral highlights. Balanced acidity
and medium tannins with a bit of power greet you in the mouth.
2010 El Dorado Cabernet-Syrah $25.00
Beautiful aromatics of currants and creamy cherry pie complimented by bell pepper, black pepper and cocoa. A
luscious, juicy berry mouth makes you want more.
2011 El Dorado Fenaughty Syrah, Old Vines Sold Out
The second oldest syrah vineyard in the county produces a wine with beautiful aromas of strawberries and raspberries
that are held up with anise, fennel, and lavender. It's slightly smoky with nice acidity and soft tannins.
2009 El Dorado Wylie-Fenaughty Syrah $25.00
Dark, dark ripe blackberries make up the fruit with a bit of cherry and tons of smokiness playing with licorice and stone. Ripe dark
fruit is met in the mouth with medium tannins.
2011 El Dorado Patriarche $30.00
(52% Mourvedre, 36% Syrah, 7% Grenache Noir, 5% Counoise)
Aromas of blackberries and a little bit of cherry and strawberry for the fruit while toasted marshmallows, bayleaves and coffee add interest (perfect camping wine?). The wine is perfectly balanced in the mouth.
2009 El Dorado Hill Top Syrah $20.00
This wine is made from estate fruit from a variety of exposures on the vineyard across from the tasting room. You may notice a bit of
oak in this wine which we don't typically use but we thought it would be good on this rich Syrah. It has fruity aromatics of grapes
but what really comes through is meaty barbeque sauce and soy sauce with underlying dried chiles. In the mouth the wine has a long fruit driven finish with medium tannins.
2008 El Dorado East Slope Syrah Sold Out
Dark brambleberries and blueberry fruits are almost overpowered by dark caramel, black pepper and thyme. Swirl the
glass a bunch and you can even pick up floral aromas in stark contrast to the wine's other more muscular qualities. Medium tannins and a long dark caramel finish bring to mind roasted roots and meats.
2010 El Dorado Petite Sirah $25.00
A super dark color fills your glass with ripe fig, cherry and blackberry fruit, bay leaves and black pepper. Bright acidity
fills your mouth with nice tannins and a refreshing finish.
2009 El Dorado Late Harvest Roussanne $25.00 375ml
A floral perfume dominates this wine while dried apricots, dried grass and nuttiness add to the aromatics. It has a big
sweet mouthfeel with nicely balanced acidity.
El Dorado Mourvedre/Syrah Dessert Wine $20.00 375ml
Aromatics of chocolate peanut brittle, ripe cherries and blackberries whipped up with sprinkles of flower and spice. In the
mouth the wine is sweet with a smooth creaminess and surprising tannins will last until midnight.
